Multi-Stem Separation
Go beyond just vocals and instrumentals. Extract up to 6 individual stems — vocals, drums, bass, piano, guitar, and other instruments — from a single track.
Upload any song and split it into clean vocal and instrumental tracks in seconds. Muzix uses AI-powered stem separation to extract vocals, drums, bass, and melody — no software install, no audio editing skills needed. Get studio-quality isolated tracks ready for karaoke, remixes, sampling, or practice.

Built on the latest stem separation models with a focus on output quality and simplicity.
Go beyond just vocals and instrumentals. Extract up to 6 individual stems — vocals, drums, bass, piano, guitar, and other instruments — from a single track.
Advanced AI models minimize artifacts, bleed, and phasing. Separated tracks retain the clarity and dynamics of the original recording at up to 44.1kHz sample rate.
Upload MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, AAC, or M4A files. The AI handles lossy and lossless formats equally well, so you can work with whatever files you already have.
Most tracks are separated in under 60 seconds. A 4-minute song typically processes in 30-45 seconds — no waiting around for complex audio analysis.
Everything runs in the cloud. No downloads, no plugins, no DAW required. Upload from any device with a browser — desktop, tablet, or phone.
Try vocal removal on your first tracks at no cost and without creating an account. Hear the quality of the separation before committing to anything.
AI vocal removers use deep learning models trained on thousands of isolated vocal and instrumental recordings. Here is what happens when you upload a track.
The AI converts your audio into a visual spectrogram — a frequency map of the entire track. Vocals and instruments occupy different frequency ranges and patterns, which the model learns to distinguish after training on millions of songs.
A deep neural network (based on architectures like U-Net and MDX-Net) analyzes the spectrogram and creates separate masks for vocals, drums, bass, and other instruments. Each mask isolates one source while suppressing everything else.
The masked spectrograms are converted back into audio waveforms. Advanced post-processing reduces artifacts like bleed and phasing, producing clean separated tracks that preserve the original audio quality.
Instead of just vocals and instrumentals, modern AI separation can extract 4-6 individual stems: vocals, drums, bass, piano, guitar, and other instruments. This gives you granular control over every element of the track.
Drag and drop an audio file or paste a link. Muzix supports MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, AAC, and M4A formats up to 20 minutes long. No account or login required to start.
The AI model analyzes your track and splits it into separate stems — vocals, instrumentals, drums, bass, and more. Processing typically takes 30-60 seconds depending on track length.
Listen to each isolated track directly in your browser. Toggle stems on and off to hear exactly what you are getting. Download individual stems or all tracks as a ZIP file.
Vocal removal is just the starting point. Separated stems unlock creative possibilities for musicians, producers, content creators, and learners.
Turn any song into a karaoke version by stripping the lead vocals. Keep backing harmonies or remove everything — your choice. Sing along with studio-quality instrumentals instead of tinny MIDI recreations.
Extract isolated vocals from one track and layer them over a completely different beat. DJs and producers use stem separation to create mashups, remixes, and bootlegs that blend songs seamlessly.
Pull clean vocal chops, drum loops, or bass lines from existing recordings. Isolated stems give you raw material to pitch-shift, time-stretch, and process without bleed from other instruments.
Isolate a specific instrument to learn its part by ear. Guitar students can solo the guitar track, drummers can isolate the drums, and vocalists can practice harmonies with the lead vocal removed.
Separate dialogue from background music in video clips. Content creators use vocal isolation to extract clean voiceovers, remove unwanted music, or replace a soundtrack without re-recording narration.
Get clean isolated vocals from any track — perfect for vocal analysis, cover arrangements, or feeding into AI voice tools. The extracted acapella preserves reverb and effects from the original recording.
AI separation quality depends on the input. These tips help you get the cleanest possible output.
WAV and FLAC files give the AI more audio data to work with, resulting in cleaner separation. If you only have an MP3, use the highest bitrate version available — 320kbps MP3 performs significantly better than 128kbps.
Songs with heavy reverb on vocals, vocal doubling, or extreme stereo effects are harder to separate cleanly. You may hear slight artifacts or vocal bleed in the instrumental. This is a limitation of all current AI separation models, not specific to any one tool.
Do not just think "vocals" and "everything else." Use the multi-stem output to recombine tracks selectively. For example, keep vocals + bass but remove drums for a stripped-down arrangement, or isolate just the guitar to learn a riff.
Always preview both the isolated vocals and the instrumental before downloading. Sometimes the vocal track contains useful harmonies you want to keep, or the instrumental has slight vocal bleed that needs a second pass.
